Tehya was born and raised in Burns Lake, in the BC heartland. She completed the Legal office Assistant program at Camosun College and has been working at GovLaw since. Tehya enjoys working on local government files as well as criminal prosecutions and is excited to expand her knowledge in this area.

Outside of work, Tehya loves to spend time outdoors hiking, swimming and paddleboarding. Tehya also keeps busy by running her company Luminously Lashed. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family.
